Modernize Room 109 in the McSwain Center: $40,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are successfully serving a larger audience through our virtual programming and events. Installing advanced technology and immersive cameras will help us serve our community, on-site and remotely, as well as allow us to connect with gardeners all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five Water Bottle Fillers: $26,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As part of our goal to eliminate waste at the JCRA, we wish to install water bottle filling stations that encourage the use of reusable containers. Three heavy-duty outdoor fountains will be placed in well-visited areas. Two fountains will be placed indoors to update the existing water fountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metal Arbor Screen: $15,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Finley-Nottingham Rose Garden serves as a beautiful, intimate setting for weddings, celebrations, and photo sessions. A decorative metal screen will be placed between the Children\u2019s Yurt and the rose garden. The arbor screen will provide a space for growing vines and serve as a focal point within the confines of the rose garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Computers and One Stylus: $9,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Enhancing the technology at the Arboretum will equip our staff with the tools they need to further the mission of the JCRA. Two laptop computers will be used by the education department. An additional laptop will have touch screen ability and a stylus to be used for database and plant record updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric Garden Work Vehicle: $8,500<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Continuing on our commitment to sustainability, we have been transitioning many of our tools to electric instead of gas. One of our current gas-powered work vehicles can no longer be used and we would like to replace it with an energy efficient and silent running, electric vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessible Pathway to the Finley-Nottingham Rose Garden: $8,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We strive to make the JCRA as accessible as possible for all of our guests to enjoy. We continue to work towards that goal and would like to add brick pavers between the Great Lawn and the Finley-Nottingham Rose Garden for our guests to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trellis over Yurt Deck: $6,500<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Yurt is occupied all year long by our youngest gardeners as it is home to our amazing Children\u2019s Program, which serves more than 4,000 students annually. Adding in a trellis with a framework to grow vines will help to provide shade, especially in the summer heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benches: $5,000<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A bench is a thoughtful way to honor a loved one, colleague, friend, or organization that has made a special impact on your life. Help us increase and update seating in our beautiful garden spaces for our visitors to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n
