A First Year Experience Like No Other

Through our Environmental First Year Program, students passionate about addressing the grand challenges of the environment are exposed to the diversity of environmental majors at NC State and the careers they lead to.

Students in this innovative program explore some of the greatest challenges facing our world today such as sustainability, energy, watersheds, climate and environmental justice using an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach.
